More Fun With Shopbop Girls
I was thrilled to learn that I am not alone in my fixation on the Shopbop Girls. They are under discussion at other blogs, where people have a variety of opinions. Most of us want to make fun of Sad Redhead Girl, and quite rightly.
Now, Shopbop is celebrating diversity by giving us Ethnic Girl, who looks kind of Eskimo or I don’t know what. Take a look.
There is also Miserable Black Girl, who is clearly thinking, “Why am I hear and look how they’ve fucked up my hair by ironing it!”
For no reason I can think of, they are giving alot of play to Forehead Girl, who is very pale and blah, and is often required to expose her expanse of forehead.
I can’t decide whether I like or hate the Posh-bobbed Attitude Girl, who always tries to glare or at least look vaguely defiant. Check her out.
I wonder if anyone ever buys anything from Shopbop? I think it’s all about the Girls, and their tragic babydoll mini-dresses.

Forehead girl’s forehead really isn’t that big. I’d rather you call her “Nothing Girl”.

Well, but there IS a Nothing Girl…I just haven’t introduced her yet. You’ll see the difference between her and Forehead Girl right away!

It is so hard getting models to show every single garment. And this is the reason I’ve chosen to steer clear of it on my boutique and just use cutout mannis. Much better than people being distracted by the model wearing the clothing. People also tend to relate to someone. So if you’re a black girl you’re probably less likely to buy something when a blonde model is wearing it and vice versa. A subconscious thing.

I shop at shopbop quite often. I do agree that some of the new models they are using suck but I happen to really like the redhead (I don’t think she looks sad). I just got a kickass pair of Kors riding boots from there and I love that they have free shipping.

I wish there were ShopBop for men. I’m sure each of these female models would have a male counterpart. I’d like to see “Pouty Guy” or “Well-Endowed Guy”.

I absolutely LOVE the “Posh-bobbed Attitude girl.” I think she is stunningly beautiful and I would love to meet her.
