Vogue Daughter Face-off
Still annoyed by Carine Roitfeld, I remembered how much I love her daughter, Julia… and that Anna Wintour has a beautiful daughter as well. Both Carine and Anna like to pose with the daughters at fashion shows and on the red carpet. Both are probably vaguely threatened by their young daughters, and by each other’s daughter.
Do you think the daughters are secret allies, comparing notes about their bossy know-it-all moms? “I hate my mom’s fucking bob!” “Oh god, at least your mom dresses like a mom!” Or do they hate each other?
Which Vogue Daughter is your favorite?

I like Bea…specifically because she doesn’t take her mother’s job nearly as seriously as her mother does. I love a rebel. =D

I am fond of both because the two of them look like normal girls (albeit extremely gorgeous girls) as opposed to the emaciated skeletons we get on the covers of our fashion mags (and in our films). Although, it seems like Bee has a more concrete idea of what she wants to do with her life (not work in fashion). I don’t know what Julia is doing.

Alas, neither lady attracts me because of their names. I mean ‘Restoin Roitfeld’ sounds like a breed of dog, and ‘Be a Shafter’ sounds downright rude!

Julia all the way, for that determined little chin. Bet she’s a wilful little devil after a gin & slimline.

Let the insults hurl…I hate Vogue. I’m more of an Elle girl.

They are both beautiful but Julia is about THIS close to having her nipples come out and play in that black dress.

I’m going with Julia. She’s French and has some very nice red lipstick. I was “the principal’s daughter” in elementary school. For both of these lovely girls, this must be one million times worse!
I have two daughters. We dress as zombies, vampires and knights and have our picture taken. I doubt we’ll ever make the red carpet!

Honestly, I can’t tell these 2 women apart.

Love Julia. She once passed me a paper towel in the bathroom at a party and I complimented her shoes.

Oh Bea – she’s down to earth and kind to her mother!!

I just wish I were a Vogue daughter.

oh sister wolf this is a hard one–I have a secret inside source that tells me AW is a total wild cat in the sheets–and when she is feeling dejected, which is often, she will creep into her lovers house and leave bloody period sheets for revenge. I’m not revealing my source–but it’s a very good one. (a really good one) Carine is great–I love her. The daughters are beautiful–both of them.

I like Bea best, I don’t know why. Judy, I wish you hadn’t shared that.

AW is just as post-meno as JA

I’m with WendyB. I wish I were a Vogue daughter too.
Being a Sister Wolf adopted daughter is a VERY close second, though.

Bea. Her hair is more damaged, which leads me to believe she has something going on in her head.

They both look stuck up and too popular for their own good. Reminiscent of “Mean Girls.” They make my skin crawl and I hope that my daughters are nothing like them, ever.

I like Bea and her comment in The September Issue about how some people take fashion way too seriously… poke at mom… I think yes.

They’re both lovely, and I appreciate the non-blonde non-skinnyness of them. But for what it’s worth, I do like Julia’s style better (and admire her for surviving puberty and early adulthood with – I bet- everyone in the fashionverse gushing about how awesome and sexy her mother is).

I am in Camp Roitfeld. No matter what Bea says about her mother’s job and how she doesn’t take it seriously, she looks like a Stepford-in-waiting. Ew.

these girls are so beautiful – and yes, i do love how they seem to glow in a healthy way and not in an orange perma-tan way.
i like carine because she smiles and it reaches her eyes. i don’t like how anna has that tense smirk – has she concluded after all these years that this is her most flattering angle and smile? the non-smile peeking out from under the fringe?
